Carris holds a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Human Services from La Trobe University, and has completed extensive professional development in trauma-informed care, positive behaviour support, mental health, and therapeutic family support.
Her professional focus is on working with children and families, particularly those with multiple diagnoses and high-support needs. Carris takes a holistic and family-centred approach to behaviour support, believing strongly in the power of empowering parents and caregivers to be active agents in their child's development and wellbeing. Her work prioritises building capable environments and reducing the use of restrictive practices through trauma-informed, strengths-based strategies.
