Jena Malinao

Jena is an Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner with over a decade of experience in child protection, disability, and behavioural therapy across Australia and internationally. She holds a Master of Social Work (QUT) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and is also a Registered Behaviour Technician with a strong foundation in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).

Jena specialises in delivering evidence-informed behaviour support plans, conducting functional behavioural assessments, strategy implementation and interventions with clients, families and supports. Her practice is grounded in person-centred, trauma-informed principles that prioritise dignity, inclusion, and cultural safety.

Jena’s work reflects deep values of social justice, family support, and collaboration. She is committed to reducing restrictive practices and improving the overall wellbeing and quality of life for people with disabilities and complex needs.
